Photosynthesis Festival Returns July 22nd-25th…
Photosynthesis 4.0, one of Washington state’s (if not the entire NW’s) best outdoor festivals, announces its return this summer on July 22nd-25th. As in years previous, the festival has found a new home, this time on the northern-most tip of the state at Neah Bay, directly on the beach(!).
This gathering has grown into a seriously hedonistic endeavor, with solid lineups that cater to a range of tastes, on sound-rigs the size of small mountains. The first 3 installments have played host to a wide spectrum of notable artists including Amon Tobin, Flashbulb, Vooduex, Derek Plaslaiko, Kid Koala, and many, many more, while also showcasing the NW’s choicest DJs, live acts, and promoters who keep this part of the world raging strong.
The lineup hasn’t been released yet, with the exception of Tipper, an artist who’s probably compelled many to mark this event firmly on their calendars already. This is merely the beginning of what promises to be one of the strongest lineups to date. We’ll keep you in the loop as more artists are revealed. Until then, enjoy this picture of a giant mountain (the backdrop to Photosynthesis 2.0).
i’ll be there, you know it! sad to see the venue changed from last year’s, but stoked to rock out on the beach! us cascadians don’t get to do that very often
I am beyond excited for this! Last year we had an amazing time and I can’t wait to do it all over again! Like Kristina, I’m bummed about the venue change because that river was perfect for relaxing on, but a beach?! Haven’t partied on a beach in a long time…
