A fun and jackin’ mix of techno and house reminiscent of mid-90s midwest mixtapes

One founding half of Droid Behavior, Acid Circus is the duo project of brothers Vangelis and Vidal Vargas. No strangers to knob-tweaking, Acid Circus has performed their live PA act alongside major players like Adam Beyer, Magda, Speedy J, Jeff Mills, Fanon Flowers, and Neil Landstrumm. Beyond supporting world-class DJ’s, Acid Circus has earned recognition and respect as LA hometown-heroes by holding their own on the road with headlining performances and solo releases on Droid Recordings and DJ Bone’s Subject Detroit.

Besides acting as ambassadors for the LA sound, the brothers are deeply involved in LA’s techno movement and spearhead it in many ways. From the online magazine Dnode, to A&R and PR for the Droid recordings label, to extensive event promotion and production, the members of Acid Circus have helped create a social network of DJ’s, promoters, producers, and fanatics that support rather then compete.
